Hello friends, hope all is well with family & friends, on July 11th I suffered massive heart attack aboard a tanker inbound Guayanilla, on July 15 I was transfer to San Juan, for a major open chest surgery, on July 19th surgery was done, & release from hospital on July 26 th. Since them I been home trying make a come back to the ocean that me love.

Nice fish. Wishing you a speedy re-unification in the Med to finish the dream.

I need not say how sad and shocked we were by news…this situation needs putting right, the indian Ocean is now a no-go area for yachts!

We are in Antigua and will sail to Bermuda in 2 weeks and then on to Nova Scotia (enshilallah) as nothing is working at the moment!!!!

Sorry guys – I just can’t watch your films anymore. It all looks too good and I’m beginning to think it’s my turn to see the world…PLEASE! You can’t cope with this much pleasure for too much longer; surely!?

I know you’ll have memories that will never leave you, but having the films will be such an amazing way of keeping them alive.

Things back here are still very quiet and not particularly exciting – most people are still in survival mode, so don’t rush back too soon. Are you due back this summer? I’ve lost track it seems so long.

Keep safe and look after each other.

What a shame to end the rally with the awful murder of your friends . Our son, his wife and our two grandchildren were on the 2007 rally in their cat Hakuna Matata–they stopped in Australia. We have followed your progress and loved watching how your super children have grown over their time on the yacht–it was easier without our constant worry over weather conditions when Elena and Bradley were on board as we are non-sailors.
Safe travels for the rest of your voyage, we will miss your blogs.

So, so sorry to hear about dear friends especially when they have been such a major part of your journey! Photos and footage to treasure. We can`t believe piracy so close to friendly rally, we read about the tragedy in UK paper and have been very worried about you all at sea in those dangerous areas.

Please keep safe and vigilant a warning to us all who want to venture away!

Time flys by so fast we cannot believe it seems only yesterday you were planning this amazing trip. We have followed you all the way and have loved every minute of your story. Thank you so much for sharing all the ups and thank goodness not too many downs!

I have continued to follow your travels with interest and much delight.

Today I am so very very sad to read this entry and see your pictures.

As soon as I heard the news on the BBC I went onto my computer and checked out the Blue Water Rally fleet and realised they were part of your fleet and that you must know them.

I am a member of the UK Crusing Association and I learnt more about Phyllis and Bob, their crew and their adventures from their web site.
