The Cod hole,  a remote area of the Great Barrier Reef, we took a party of divers 20 miles out to sea on Miss  Tippy for a fantastic sail, dive and of course after party!

I was nervous being the first in!!

He was very friendly!

So big and soooooo friendly and gentle.

Hi it’s Annie here.
Dad took us diving. It was creepy and I didn’t really want to do it, but I did try.

My brother and sister went under the sea down to 3 metres on Dads air tank.

We dived with our friends from Grace, this is Neisha her Dad Shane is holding her.

This is Jessica. She was freediving……..

Then we play in the water for a while and look at the coral.

I prefer to swim with a snorkel or holding my breath.

Then Dad gave me the regulator to breath on again.

It’s quite clear underwater.

Here I go down a little bit further with Dad to about 2 metres it’s not too bad I can freedive deeper though.

Moorea was a gentle quiet haven of green scenery and clear blue water.
Tippy girls looking forward to the anchorage at Cooks Bay.

The rugged mountain range is very beautiful and has been used as a backdrop in many pictures.
Miss Tippy looks like something from a movie here!

While in Moorea we invited friends onto Miss Tippy for an afternoon dive.
On board, Mark and Chrisy (Blue Magic), Pete, wife Judy flies around the world (Fai Tira), Hans, wife Monica stayed on board Natibou to relax and Paul and Derry (Jackamy).

We sailed on Miss Tippy along the coast of Moorea and found the dive site easily but as there is a coral reef all around island, the divers had to access the site by dinghy.

While we were playing out at sea, Amy was babysitting AGAIN!

I was boat handling and enjoyed time alone on Miss Tippy for the first time, sailing around in the sunshine. There was time to think about how wonderful it is to be on this voyage around the world with my husband and children and making friends along the way.
On a day like this in a beautiful setting it really feels like a dream come true.

Miss Tippy has been the most fantastic boat. She is an Oyster 56 and we have lived on her for 10 months. She is our home and our refuge when the going gets tough….and sometimes it gets really tough at sea.
She was named by the children who have sailed with us from being babies.
On our previous boats each child went through a phase of getting upset crying “it’s too tippy” when the boat heeled over.
Well, now it’s “Tippy” every day and they love it!

Enough of daydreaming, I was filling in a space as not diving today I have no pictures from underwater to show you .
Here come the divers back to the yacht.
In the background you can see the corner of the palm clad Moorea with woven houses on stilts.Then the golden beach, the turquoise waters of the lagoon and the white line along the middle is where the waves break against the shallow barrier reef which encircles the island. The yacht cannot traverse this type of shallow coral which has taken many casualties around the waters of the world.
The dark blue is the deeper water where Miss Tippy is waiting with me for the divers to return.

Once back from diving the fun starts immediately.
