I am 44 years old family man, with a keen interest in outdoors adventure including sailing, scuba diving and skiing in particular. Having worked in a desk bound job for most of my career I am now taking time out with my family to sail around the world and explore.
We love Huahine Iti and the quiet relaxed atmosphere so much that we have been here a week enjoying the anchorage, the beach and also the beautiful landscape. Time to break out the Tippy bicycles!
The idyllic islands of Huahine were our next stop on our around the world voyage. Join the children playing on the beach with new friends!
In Marquesas Sheila set the children some challenges. Among Fred’s were to drive more than 50 yards in a 4×4 and get a picture of a shark…..
Watch Freddie as he tries to eat a donut without licking his lips!
After 3,000 miles at sea we were met by the spectacular scenery of the Marquesa islands. A wonderful group of islands rich in cultural heritage and full of lovely people. Join us as we tour our first island at Nuku Hiva!
After 3 days of stormy weather at anchor, we were lucky enough to take part in a turtle rescue programme on the island of Taha’a. It was a fun day for Blue Magic, Jackamy, Miss Tippy and especially Baldrick.
Diving with friends on Miss Tippy, time to reflect whilst boathandling……a babysitter….and a party…… and a fabulous sunset…..what a great day!
Our longest passage of the circumnavigation….over 3,000 miles….it was all going fine but then about half way across we got a call from Jaume who was ill. Sheila transferred to his boat but then could not get back! Dad and children completed the remaining 1,700 miles!
May 2010, Easter Island, Pacific Ocean.
The beautiful EASTER ISLAND is known in the traditional language as RAPA NUI and in Spanish as ISLA De PASCUA.
Join us on a truly unbelievable visit to the worlds …
Dancing is a way of life in Polynesia, here are pictures of islanders dancing in their home made costumes. Love Charlie x
