Ile Fourchue,St.Barts
We left St Barts and sailed out to sea for a relaxing afternoon.

It was a really great sail for about 4 hours with the wind on our side and the sun shining.
We then came back to land just 3 miles off St. Barts to Ile Fourchue, a lovely island set in a marine reserve.

There was an outbreak of happiness on the Norton yacht!

Freddie Charlie and Annie help to clean the boat and are always keen to start with the hull.
Brian cleaned the stainless steel and I think I was sunbathing!

Once cleaning was finished the children made their own raft from fenders and rope and set off on an adventure.

We dinghied ashore to check out the wildlife. Lots of Egrets were waiting patiently for a feast of fish, they also eat frogs lizards and small mammals from land and can stand almost motionless until something tasty turns up before spearing it with the sharp beak.

Brian and Freddie climbed to the top of the hill.

The girls stayed low to look for crabs and lizards.

A view of nearby St. Barts and more megaboats.

Freddie made a friend called Steve who would not go home!

Time for us to go home to the boat. Charlie and Dad leading the way.

Miss Tippy and Mercury Rising at anchor in the quiet bay Ile Fourchue

Our next destination would be St Marten.
