Dec 11th Antiguan Welcome.
The great Antiguan welcome was everything we dreamed of after nearly three weeks at sea.We were so happy to be on dry land that the first thing to do was jump into the sea !

There are 365 beaches on Antigua one for each day of the year! Many bays and inlets make up the beautiful coastline but reefs and shoals mean boat navigation must be very precise.Charlie,Freddie and Annie have all become proficient in driving the dinghy with a 9.9 horsepower engine and enjoy motoring around the harbour,we often find they have left without Mum and Dad !

Many Blue Water Rally boats needed tender loving care after their long voyages, the crews enjoyed parties, music, yummy food and lots of rum punch !

The steel bands played and we danced the nights away.

Even in the streets of St Johns the beat went on .

By day we found more beaches and a dive centre.

Brian and Sheila had some underwater fun with friends !

The dive was on a site named Paradise and it was !

“Pink” Carol from Bali Blue living up to her nickname even underwater.
We sailed back from a great dive to the end of the rainbow.
