R2R 014 A floppy sail to Lanzarote

Submitted by Miss Tippy on 2009/11/13 – 12:049 Comments

Light variable winds dominated this first leg of the Blue Water Rally. A good time for getting into the rhythm of ocean sailing and fishing. See our adventure on the following film including our best catch so far…a large tuna!

    Hello Nortons,

We’re the Ortons and we live in New York City. We’re so excited for you and your adventures. We’re just learning to sail but have big dreams and are inspired by your trip. We have 5 kids, so seeing you sail as a family helps give us courage to do the same. We look forward to following your adventures. Our kids are following them as part of their home-school geography lessons!

    All the best,

    Erik & Emily Orton

We will put £20.00 on you arriving in Antigua at 3am on 30/11 (because you always seem to arrive anywhere in darkness just ask Lottie) 6 hours either way and the money goes to RNLI.

Lottie just tried throwing homework in the pond in the back garden but we managed to rescue it.
