R2R 014 A floppy sail to Lanzarote
Light variable winds dominated this first leg of the Blue Water Rally. A good time for getting into the rhythm of ocean sailing and fishing. See our adventure on the following film including our best catch so far…a large tuna!

Good Luck Tippy from the Swedish boat Pelle 5, we did the previus rally and loved it.

Hello Nortons,
We’re the Ortons and we live in New York City. We’re so excited for you and your adventures. We’re just learning to sail but have big dreams and are inspired by your trip. We have 5 kids, so seeing you sail as a family helps give us courage to do the same. We look forward to following your adventures. Our kids are following them as part of their home-school geography lessons!
All the best,
Erik & Emily Orton

We will put £20.00 on you arriving in Antigua at 3am on 30/11 (because you always seem to arrive anywhere in darkness just ask Lottie) 6 hours either way and the money goes to RNLI.
Lottie just tried throwing homework in the pond in the back garden but we managed to rescue it.

Thanks for getting in touch. The kids would love to answer any questions your may have about the locations we visit. Ours are coping really well and are really enjoying the experience. We just posted a film about their time in Lanzarote on Cabin Kids and we will be putting more on this week about the atlantic crossing. All the best..the Nortons on Miss Tippy! PS how did you come across the site?
Thanks. We’re really enjoying it so far! Just relaxing after our transatlantic!!
