Well I knew Brian was destined to ‘Rock All Over The World’, but not too sure about the rest of you!?!?! Hope he wasn’t too embarrasing?

    A classic example of serendipidy?

    Speak soon, Uncle C xxxx

    hello worldsailors,
Just a short flash I am still reading your news. As said I am going to participate in the Oyster event in Palma and made it to Palma so far. Since I am sailing single handed (no electric winches!!) I was not too pleased with te weather we are curently having … Reading the september issue of OysterNews …is your Rock2Rock the Miss Tippy?
Well this will be my last mail to you all so when I am back home I will follow-up on you guys. Save sailing, best regards Hans Kampers

    Dear Brian Sheila and Family

Hi great to see your progress, well done, it looks like great fun!

We have had a roller coaster ride preparing to leave, first the boat purchase fell through and then just as we found another boat two flat sales fell through so it has been first we are going then we are not and then all over again….so where are we now, well good news is that we ahve a boat, a beautiful Swan 57 in Palma, bad news is that it is just a little late for ARC and to join you in Gibrater before you leave so we are planning on setting sail on 2nd November to winter in Canaries and Madeira then back into Med for next summer and then ARC 2010. Sadly I fear we will not catch up unless you decide to spend longer somewhere en route.

We may try to fly ourselves to Gib to catch you before you leave…if not have a great trip and we will stay in touch

Cheers from the Applin family crew aboard Maverick

Great to hear from you guys but sorry to hear you won’t make it this year. We are leaving Gib on Oct 25. The rally programme starts next week so should be more fun. Kids have started boat school last week so it all seems quite hectic…something wrong there! I’d love to stay in touch. Maybe we’ll see you next time round in Fiji! All the best for now…the Miss Tippy Crew!

  • Miss Tippy says:
